Math (8:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.) - Participants will learn to navigate the math section of the GKT with strategic precision and learn how to use the multiple-choice options to their benefit when solving complex problems. Participants will acquire math skills specifically tested on the GKT. Participants will use point builders to maximize their score.

English (10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) - Participants will learn quick strategies for the English subtest. Participants learn pacing approaches to maximize their time on the English test. Participants will also gain insight on grammar rules and concepts that appear regularly on the GKT.

Break for One Hour

Writing (1:00 p.m. - 2:20 p.m.) - Participants will learn to apply a specific writing formula to gain as many points as possible on the writing subtest. Participants will organize their essays according to the formula and use complex sentences and transitions.

Reading (2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) . Participants will learn approaches to pacing essential to mastering the reading subtest of the GKT. Participants will gain insight and strategies in reading critically to maximize point acquisition. Participants will understand the different types of questions: main idea, inference, writer's point of view, generalization, etc. Participants will learn how to put it all together to employ a strategic approach to the reading comprehension on the GKT.

Test Taking Strategies. Many people struggle with the act of taking a standardized test. NavaED will provide strategies help overcome test anxiety and prepare for the testing environment. This will include an in-depth discussion on understanding the general rules of the testing facility, navigating the electronic test format, using the digital calculator and other test tools, managing time for each subtest, and understanding the order of the subtests.

GKT Subtest Analysis. Participants will learn the composition of each subject test: English, math, reading, and writing. Participants will also gain understanding in the point breakdown of each subject test, helping them to be strategic in how they study and how they approach each individual subject test.
